Rui Hotta

A professional with a solid track record as CEO, COO and Strategic Advisor, accumulating over 30 years of experience in leading turnaround processes, operational and financial restructuring, strategic growth plans and M&A operations in national and multinational companies in the automotive, healthcare, logistics, white goods, construction, oil & gas sectors, among others.

At BY Capital, he leads projects to recover companies in growth or debt crises, financial structuring, organizational transformation and corporate reorganization. He works directly with shareholders, boards and investors in critical moments, with a strong focus on results, governance and financial discipline.

He was responsible for recovery plans that increased EBITDA margins, reversed recurring losses and reduced financial liabilities through complex renegotiations and out-of-court settlements. He coordinated corporate reorganization plans, divestiture of unproductive assets, tax optimization, portfolio redesign and implementation of corporate governance structures.

He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from UNICAMP, an Executive MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Toronto and certifications from Harvard Business School, IMD and Rotman School of Management. He holds a Six Sigma Black Belt, training in Supply Chain and Negotiation from FGV, and extensive experience in multicultural environments in Latin America, the USA, Japan and Switzerland.

He is a member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA Brazil).
